CLA North: Meet the Advisers Hour

Members across the North are welcome to join CLA North Advisers on 17 June at 1.00pm for an online meeting to discuss Lead Shot, Field Sports, Agricultural Holdings Act 1986, cybercrimes, 'Countryside Classroom' initiative and Permitted Development Rights


The meeting will be hosted on Zoom. Participants will also be able to take part in a Q&A session after the talks, with an option to raise more complex or confidential issues on a one-to-one call subsequent to this event.

About the advisers and their topics

Robert Frewen is the Regional Surveyor in the CLA North team and will provide an update on lead shot and other field sports issues.  In addition, Robert will also discuss issues around the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 including remediable and irremediable breaches and how these should be handled.

Libby Bateman leads on rural crime issues in the North office and will cover all manner of cybercrimes that can have a devastating impact on members. Libby will also briefly give an update on the ‘Countryside Classroom’ initiative.

Jane Harrison leads on planning related issues in the North office and will explore how to take advantage of the extension to Permitted Development Rights as it concerns additional temporary uses of land such as campsites or car parks.
