The CLA is delighted to invite you to an all-day event at Elmley National Nature Reserve on Wednesday 5 October from 9:30-4pm which is being held as part of the Festival of National Nature Reserves. If you are a private landowner who is exploring the option of owning or running a national nature reserve, this event will provide you with expert advice and the key factors to consider and give you the chance to ask any questions you may have.
Elmley National Nature Reserve is a family-run farm with a long-term vision to restore nature, and a commitment to the sustainability of the landscape and land, where conservation and farming go hand in hand. The Reserve covers 3,300 acres of wilderness and breath-taking beauty on an island in North Kent, 40 miles from London. In 1991, Elmley was designated a National Nature Reserve by Natural England, the only family-owned and managed farm in the UK to have this status.
