CLA North: Womens Network Blackwell Arts & Craft House Windermere Jetty Museum

Join us to explore Windermere’s 200-year-old boating history, with the experiences of the lake’s boats, builders, owners and sailors, through interactive displays, oral histories and a fascinating collection of boats, equipment and curiosities. Including a 30 minute boat trip on Windermere Lake.

Also Blackwell which is a rare architectural gem, offering a perfectly preserved snapshot of early 20th-century living. 
Designed by noted architect Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, this Grade I listed building is one of the UK’s finest examples of Arts & Crafts architecture, and is a practice that is inspired by the natural world, while embracing traditional craft skills in an age of increasing mechanisation and mass production.


10.00 am Registration at The Blackwell Arts & Crafts House

10.30 am Guided tour of the House by Lakeland Arts Volunteer

11.45 am Depart to Windermere Jetty Museum( a short drive to the venue plenty of parking available) 

12.00 pm Lunch at the Windermere Jetty

12.45 pm Boat Trips on Windermere Lake along with tour around the Jetty Museum(Groups of 12)

3.15 pm Event concludes
