CLA Cymru: Natural Capital online update

We are pleased to announce a CLA Cymru Natural Capital webinar with a chance to hear from experts about the range of current and future income sources for sustainable farming, carbon, nature or water, for example. The opportunities could be significant, with potential funding of over £3.5 billion per year from government and private sector across England and Wales, and perhaps more depending on how markets evolve.

The Sustainable Farming Scheme consultation outcomes once reviewed could affect the natural capital market and an insight into what could possible be the future in Wales will be discussed.

We will look at what this means for individual businesses and demystify the market.
- What funding is available through the government schemes?
- What are the main private sector market opportunities?
- Do the economics stack up?
- What are the risks and realities of long-term agreements to nature markets?
- What are the legal and tax considerations?
- Where to start if you are interested?
- Case studies in Wales to date

We will be joined by:

Susan Twining, CLA Chief Land Use Policy Advisor
Fraser McAuley, CLA Cymru Senior Policy Advisor
Mark Russell, Rural Partner - Carter Jonas
Laura Greenman,  HCR Law
