Discover Trees & Woodlands: Lunchtime webinar series Autumn/Winter 24/25
Join the Forestry Commission, hosted by the CLA, for a series of lunchtime webinars on the benefits of trees and woodlands for your land.
Hear from forestry experts and people who have planted woodlands themselves about the benefits of trees for your land, and take the opportunity to get answers to your woodland questions.
This is a three part series taking place from November to January. The first webinar on Tuesday 5 November will focus on woodland creation. The second webinar on Wednesday 4 December will focus on woodland management and the third webinar on Monday 27 January will focus on creating a woodland.
To ask a question of the panel, send an email, using title of the webinar as the subject header, to EEMWoodlandCreation@forestrycommission.gov.uk, at least 24 hours before the event, and we will do our best to get the questions answered by our expert panel.
Trees, woodlands and forests provide a range of environmental, social and economic benefits.
This webinar will provide advice and guidance to anyone who is looking to plant, design and create sustainable new woodland in England.
We will cover important information to include in your woodland creation plan, how to apply UKFS forest design principles to benefit your woodland creation plan, species selection and spacing, deer management, plastic tree guards, and where to find further information and support, exploring the role woodland design plays in habitat and wildlife management.
Speakers to be confirmed.
The webinar will be recorded and a link circulated a few days after the event. Please book a place of each webinar (3 in total) to ensure the recording is circulated to you.If you have any questions please contact the Midlands office on 01785 337010.
