Enjoy some time in the beautifully scenic Vale of Clwyd. An opportunity to visit this newly established vine yard with a tour, update from CLA Director Victoria Bond and light lunch.
Hosts Rhys and Gwen Davies will guide you around the vineyard, while sharing their story of how they established the vine yard and care for the vines. You will then return to the beautifully restored barn or patio seating with stunning views of the Vale to taste a selection of their wines and a delicious cheese platter.
The unique collection of vines produce grapes for their award winning boutique range of wines which can be purchased from their website or the cellar door shop onsite.
The full tour and tasting offer includes a guided tour of the vineyard, tasting four wines including a sparkling wine and a platter of Snowdonia cheese.
The Davies family are the first grape farmers of the Vale of Clwyd. Both Gwen and Rhys grew up on local farms and studied at agricultural college before long and varied careers in the agricultural community. Although Gwen manages the day to day management of the vines and business, they are all involved and the highlight has to be harvest days when they bring together wider family and friends to hand pick the precious crop.
