The Midlands team are delighted to invite you to a bespoke visit to Locko Park and the Derbyshire AGM.
In 1993, Lucy Palmer inherited the Locko Park Estate, a family property since 1747, located near Derby. The estate's picturesque parkland and historic buildings make it an ideal venue for private events, offering both opportunities and limitations due to its location on the outskirts of Derby.
Over the past 30 years, the family has worked to balance maintaining the estate as a family home with diversifying its commercial potential, generating revenue to improve the property while preserving the historical integrity of its Grade II* listed house.
The day will begin with the AGM and an update on the latest issues affecting members by CLA Vice President, Joe Evans. This will be followed by an introduction to Locko Park by owner, David Palmer and Andrew Jackson (a former lead agent for the estate), who will discuss their achievements and the new challenges ahead.
The day will include guided walking tours of the historic house and their arboretum gardens filled with rhododendron and azalea.
There will be a two-course lunch before reverse tours in the afternoon.
Please ensure suitable footwear and clothing is worn as the tours will take place outdoors.
