We are delighted to invite our Yorkshire Branch members to this year's Yorkshire AGM at Croft Circuit. The formal AGM will be held in Hangar 50 which is on the track-side of Croft Circuit.

Our host, Trevor Chaytor-Norris, will welcome guests and provide an overview of Croft Estate and its various business interests. We will also be joined by CLA President Victoria Vyvyan to provide an overview of the CLA’s work, as well as her take on current and future developments.

Angus Hunter Smart of  Wrigleys Solicitors, our kind sponsors for the day, will provide some topical insights on Wrigleys’ behalf.

After a two-course lunch, members will be invited to spectate Caterham-make race cars, have the opportunity to access the pits, speak to car owners, and gain first-hand knowledge of the world of racing whilst watching from the pit lane as they test the track.

About the Circuit

Croft Circuit was redeveloped and operated in hand from 1995 to 2006. It was then leased to the British Automobile Racing Club who continue to run and operate the circuit to this day, with involvement by a family member being a director on their commercial board.

About Croft Estate

Croft Estate is owned by the Chaytor-Norris and Chaytor families. The lands were acquired by the Clervaux family in 1246 and then by marriage to the Chaytor family in around 1545.

The estate extends to 2,600 acres of mainly arable land, including some grassland, 250 acres of woodland,100 acres of Christmas Trees and 200 acres that operates as a motor racing circuit, formerly a part of a Second World War bomber aerodrome. Whilst in many ways traditional as an estate in make-up, with in hand land, tenanted land, mixed woodland and some residential property, it is diversified in terms of its trading interests.

 The programme for the day will take the following order of events.

10am                  Registration served with teas and coffees in Hangar 50

10.30am             Formal AGM held in Hangar 50

        Creamy pork casserole with cider, potatoes and greens 
        Apple and plum crumble with custard

2pm                          A small event with Caterham-make race cars will be running on the day.
        Members can access the pits, speak to car owners, and watch from the pit lane as they test the track.

3.30pm                   Coffee, tea and traybake prior to departure
