In this webinar, gain insight from Baroness Minette Batters, former NFU President and a leading voice in British agriculture, in conversation with CLA President, Gavin Lane.
This session will explore the Farming Profitability Review, a landmark initiative aimed at tackling the challenges and unlocking opportunities for farm businesses across England. Commissioned by the then Defra Secretary of State Steve Reed, Baroness Batters was asked to undertake a Farming Profitability Review to examine the realities of farming in England to inform future policy. The report, published this month, sets out the challenges and opportunities with a series of recommendations for government. These recommendations will feed into the government plans for a 25-year Farming Roadmap, expected to be published in 2026.
You will hear more on:
- The key findings of the review and what they mean for your business
- Practical steps to improve profitability in a changing policy and market landscape
- How collaboration and innovation can shape a sustainable future for farming
