Join us for a tour of the farmer-owned Camgrain storage facility in Northamptonshire and visit Navara Oat Milling, the largest oat mill in Europe.
Camgrain provides safe storage for crops including wheat, barley, oilseed rape, oats, linseed, beans, peas and organic crops. You will see how the business dries, cleans, blends and checks the grain, so it meets the quality that food companies require, and how it uses its logistics network to help farmers sell their grain into the best possible markets.
On this visit you will learn about the Advanced Processing Centre and this is where you will find the Navara Oat Milling site. Navara is jointly owned by Frontier Agriculture and Camgrain, who have partnered to build Europe’s largest and most modern oat processing plant.
Oats at the mill are cleaned, hulled into groats, stabilised with steam, sorted, graded, then turned into flakes, cut groats, or flour before being packed. Finished products are then delivered directly to customers. You will see the process from start to finish.
In 2021, Camgrain formed a Sustainability and Carbon Capture Farming group. The group works with farmers and partners to advance regenerative farming, carbon measurement, and environmentally focused initiatives and you will hear more about this on the day.
