CLA East: Hertfordshire & Middlesex Summer Visit and AGM 2026

Discover a thriving, 7,000-acre, 200-year-old rural estate that brings together farming, conservation, forestry, property, community, learning and refined experiences.

During this visit, you will learn about the Estate’s portfolio of more than 200 carefully maintained buildings, ranging from historic residential properties and commercial units to Heath Mount School, a leading independent school housed in the Grade I listed mansion at Woodhall Park. You will also hear about the Estate’s considered development plans, guided by its 25-year vision.

The Estate strives to achieve the optimum balance between sustainable, modern farming and forward-thinking environmental care. Initiatives include wildlife margins, natural regeneration zones, landmark river restoration projects, biodiversity enhancement and soil health management.

On a unique 5km e-bike tour, you will explore Woodhall Park’s centuries-old landscapes that continue to evolve through careful stewardship, including a talk on the rare chalk stream restoration.

Home to a vibrant community of more than 1,000 people who live, work and learn on the Estate, Woodhall plays an active role in local life. You will discover how it supports schools, churches, charities and youth organisations, alongside the community in general.

Recent diversification at Woodhall Estate includes weddings, corporate events and countryside escapes. It increasingly serves as the location for a range of film, television and commercial productions, making it a sought-after destination for the creative industries close to the major studios.
