As we approach the better weather of Spring and more people start to head out into the Countryside now is the time to hear about the changes to legislation and how you can prepare for the influx of visitors.

In this webinar, you will hear from Claire Wright, CLA National Access Adviser and Andrew Gillett, CLA Chief Legal Adviser on a policy update looking at legislative changes relating to livestock worrying and the progress of the Government’s Access Green paper.

The webinar will delve into the rights and responsibilities that land managers have to users of public rights of way. This will include ensuring that stiles and other furniture are safe and functional; getting your signage right; how to fence a public right of way and balancing livestock around public access. You will also hear how you can correct route errors that result from technology such as phone apps and sat nav devices. The webinar will conclude with a section to dispel the myths around liability and public access.

The webinar will cover the following topics:

  • Changes to legislation and a forward look at what the rest of the parliament holds for access reform
  • Getting public access correct – how to avoid getting into hot water with the highways authority
  • Apps & Tech: Correcting User errors
