CLA Cymru: Welsh Tourism Policy Changes – What You Need to Know

Join us for a streamlined update on the major changes shaping Welsh tourism policy. We’ll cover the new mandatory national register for all visitor accommodation, scheduled to open in Autumn 2026, and the forthcoming Visitor Levy, which councils may begin introducing from April 2027 at the earliest following local consultation and notice periods.

We will also outline progress on the licensing scheme for visitor accommodation, with the Bill recently being passed by the Senedd and designed to establish consistent safety and quality standards across the sector. The session will briefly explore the operational and financial implications of these reforms including compliance requirements, levy collection processes, and potential VAT considerations.

This one-hour long webinar is ideal for accommodation providers, booking platforms, and tourism businesses needing a clear, accessible overview of what’s coming and how to prepare.
