CLA Cymru: Joint North Wales, Montgomeryshire & Merionethshire branches visit to Plas Weuynydd including AGM's

In the heart of Snowdonia since the 1830s when John Whitehead Greaves came to North Wales to make his fortune. They started out mining the very best slate in the world – which found its way from Germany to Argentina – creating an amazing man-made landscape which is now a World Heritage Site.

The best thing is that all this is amid some of Wales's most beautiful natural mountains and moorland. Still a family business, the 2000-acre site is now known for the hotel and glamping, green energy, walks, downhill bike tracks, zip lines and, of course, the unique underground adventure playground situated in the mine started all those years ago.

An opportunity awaits us with a visit to this unique hotel and it's beautiful setting - we will visit the underground slate mines that house the 'Snowdonia Cheese' company supplies as well as the Victorian Hydro Electric building and it's workings during our visit and tour of the grounds, with a variety of accommodation that keeps the hotel busy throughout the year.
Agenda for the day:

10am       Meet for refreshments
10.30am  Welcome & highlights from Regional Director Victoria Bond
10.45am  AGM proceedings for joint branches & update from CLA Officer
11.30am  Tours of Snowdonia Cheese underground store & Victorian Hydro works etc.

15.00pm End of event
