Milton Hall, Milton, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, P36 7AA ,

Milton Estate has been owned by the Fitzwilliam family since 1502. Sir Philip Naylor-Leyland, grandson
of the 10th Earl Fitzwilliam, and his family live at Milton, which remains a private family home.
Milton Park, consisting of farmland and woodland, forms the central part of the Estate and will be
the focus of the visit. This area is immediately west of land designated under the New Towns Act
which saw Peterborough expand considerably in the latter part of the 20th century.
During the day there will be an opportunity to learn about the use of biomass and water source
heat pumps at the Estate and you will hear about Peterborough Gateway – a 180 acre distribution
and manufacturing park developed on land owned by the Estate.
A walking tour of the walled gardens and an opportunity to wander more freely in the wider
pleasure gardens will take place after lunch.
This visit is by kind permission of the Naylor-Leyland family.
