Bringing on board the experts, this seminar will offer an overview of legal requirements and practical advice to help you manage your residential property interests, together with an update on recent and potential legislative changes affecting the private rented sector (PRS).
This will include a look at recent regulatory developments for property conditions and also practical tips for finding a desirable tenant and good property management. There will be an update on Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) and the requirement for residential landlords to reach EPC ‘C’ by 2025 or 2028 and how best to navigate this.
We will also review the Government’s recently published White Paper: “A Fairer Private Rented Sector” that proposes the “biggest changes to the PRS for a generation” and give an update on the Renters' Reform Bill, including the proposals to abolish section 21 “no-fault evictions” and the possible introduction of a PRS Decent Homes Standard, a PRS Ombudsman and a Property Portal.
