The South East Future of Farming Event 2023 - Driving productivity and profitability in a sustainable way

The event is free and open to everyone
(Members and Non-Members)

Plumpton College, The CLA and Virgin Money are collaborating to put on a South East Future of Farming event, to be hosted at the college’s new £10m Agri-Food Centre.

At a time of so much change for the industry, we would like to invite farmers and landowners from across the region, to provide inspiration, insight and useful practical takeaways.

We have secured a number of keynote speakers who will be sharing their own stories and bringing to life how they have invested in technology, regenerative practices and/or people in doing so. We aim to show that British farmers can be global leaders.

Programme

3:00pm - Welcome from Emily Norton, Head of Rural Research at Savills
3:10pm - Keynote speaker - Martin Lines, Chair of the Nature Friendly Farming Network
3:30pm - Amelia McLean - Hugh Lowe Farms Ltd.
3:50pm - Brian Richardson, UK Head of Agriculture, Virgin Money

4:30pm - Panel Q+A, hosted by Emily Norton

Following the talks and Q&A sessions, we will be running a number of workshops offering practical evidence-based solutions, examining the impact of investment in tech on farm productivity and focusing on skills and people.
