Pant Wilkin Stables has been home to Tim Vaughan Racing for the past 15 years, offering top-class, purpose-built facilities amidst the beautiful countryside of South Wales. 


A former Chartered Surveyor, Tim rode 117 winners between the flags and was Champion Welsh point-to-point jockey, but it is as a trainer that he has found his true vocation and in April 2012 he became the youngest National Hunt trainer to record 100 winners in a season.

Tim has trained Grade 1 winners in the UK and Ireland courtesy of Saint Are in the Sefton Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree and Spirit Of Adjisa in the Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown, with Beshabar’s Scottish Grand National win another career highlight.


With the backing of a fantastic group of owners and assisted by an outstanding team of staff, many of whom have been with Tim Vaughan Racing since the start, Tim continues to build upon the results achieved so far, assembling an exciting, talented team of young horses for the seasons ahead.

Tim has a very successful business alongside his training with his original yard now a busy business outlet with units let out to a Vet practice, Dog therapist, Childcare facility, Garden Furniture business, a Cafe and many more.

There are holiday lodges set in the valley and furnished to a high standard with regular visitors to the Vale staying for a few days.

His ideas around diversification on the estate are endless and planning has been sort for further projects to include:

We will meet at the yard for 9.00am with a short walk to the gallops to see a few lots work up the gallops, tour around the stable yard and hear from Tim his plans for the future followed by coffee & bacon rolls at the 'Fredwell' Cafe - if members wish to see further around the estate Tim will happily take them in vehicles.
