Marrington is a gem hidden in the steep valleys on the Shropshire/Powys border. This is a proper sporting estate managed to the highest standards offering superb game shooting in the winter and now excellent simulated game days in the summer.

Fantastic facilities, stunning scenery and friendly staff are just three factors that help guarantee a brilliant day out. Using the high rolling banks, the steep woodland glades and the conifer forestry on the very top of the estate, we are able to offer outstanding simulated pheasants & partridges.

The birds presented are challenging and the variety of drives is great fun for both the experienced and novice shot.

Time Details:
9:00 am Meet your Host at the Estate Lodge — Coffee & bacon rolls served. 
9:15 am Safety Briefing & Draw pegs Meet Loaders (if required)
9:30 am Set off for the first of three morning drives.
11:30 am Elevenses in the field
1:00 pm Lunch is served.
2:30 pm Set off for one or two afternoon drives.
4:00 pm Tea and cakes in the lodge along with prize giving
5:00 pm Depart for home.

 

The cost of the day includes all of the wonderful hospitality, the facilities, the shooting and a host to take you around the estate. We would anticipate guests firing around 350 – 400 cartridges a day, but you can certainly shoot more! Cartridges are available to buy on the day but all MUST BE FIBRE WAD ONLY

All your transport requirements and gun handling needs will be taken care of from pick up and shoot day transport to assistance with Kit, Loading, Advice, Gun Cleaning, Storage and Gun Maintenance.
 
Cartridges - We can provide cartridges on the day. As standard we stock 21g 7.5s Cost: £75 + VAT per 250 Please let us know the calibre of cartridges you require in advance. We request felt wad to be used on all of our estates. 

Gun Hire - We have a selection of Beretta Silver Pigeon Over/Unders in both 12ga & 20ga available upon request at £125 + VAT per gun per day. Should you have a problem with your gun or not have a UK shotgun certificate or travelling from abroad however, the person hiring the gun must have a qualified loader/ minder by their side - when shooting.

Catering -  The finest local ingredients go into everything we serve on a simulated shoot day with Criddle Fieldsports and all skilfully prepared by our brigade of chefs. From the best bacon rolls on arrival to mouth-watering elevenses cooked in the field.

We know a days shooting in not just about pulling the trigger so ensure that every part of the day is perfect. When the weather is good, our barbeque lunches in the field are second to none. Ambling back across the meadow after a drive, to the sight of the safari tents and aroma of cooking is quite something. The setting and experience are superb! All dietary requirements catered for with advance notice.
