It was at Nissan Sunderland that the first Nissan Bluebird for commercial sale rolled off the line in 1986, and it is here that they are driving forward Nissan EV36Zero, a £1 billion project to create the world’s first electric vehicle manufacturing hub. Since the start of production Nissan Sunderland have built over 11 million cars, the fastest UK car manufacturer to achieve this milestone and meaning a car has rolled off the line every two minutes since 1986.
With over 6,000 employees across a 362,000 square metre site of world-leading manufacturing excellence, there is a lot to discover and learn at Nissan Sunderland.
