£47.00 + VAT per person
Revesby Estate is a family owned and managed estate located in the heart of rural Lincolnshire. Estates are unique businesses. Beyond their financial requirement to survive they often have very clear groups of non-financial objectives. Revesby Estate call these building blocks and they include the protection and improvement of the natural environment, community, historic assets and visual appeal.
You will see examples of these throughout this visit. Balancing the needs of the environment against the need for profit is one of Revesby Estate’s most defining characteristics. With a mixture of arable land, wetland, woodland and grassland, the varied natural environments require detailed long-term planning to ensure they survive and thrive.
The estate has a range of commercial enterprises, existing in six sectors: growing, retail products, retail memories, lettings, service and investments. You will see examples of these during your visit. Firewood and venison sales, weddings and events, carp fishing and venue hire all form part of the commercial offering.
There is an extensive property lettings portfolio which incorporates cottages, stables, offices, commercial units, and shipping containers.
This visit is by kind permission of the Wiggins-Davies family and their team.
