Kenton Hall Estate is privately owned and family-run, featuring a beautiful Tudor Hall set in its own farm estate in the heart of the Suffolk countryside.
The McVeigh family moved to Kenton Hall in 1986 having farmed both in Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. The mixed farm is 200 hectares of arable land with livestock including a herd of English Longhorn Cattle and rare breed pigs.
The farm and its businesses are managed by members of the McVeigh family. You will hear about their approach to regenerative farming, agroforestry and alternative cropping during the visit.
There are a number of diversified businesses at the estate including a wedding venue, glamping site and cookery school. These businesses create a hive of activity with hen party packages, cookery courses, foodie weekend events and Duke of Edinburgh scheme residential courses.
The manor of Kenton Hall has a rich history, the house dates back to c.1200 and the original Tudor Hall was built by the De Kenton family. Over the years the McVeigh family have renovated the house and restored the farm to its former glory. You will hear about the renovation work during the visit.
This visit is by kind permission of the McVeigh family.
