Stanford Hall is Grade I listed and situated between the borders of the counties of Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. It is surrounded by 700 acres of private park and woodland.
The Hall and estate are cared for with a continuous, rolling programme of regeneration and conservation of its buildings, park and wider estate. In conjunction with Natural England and Historic England, the present owners have restored all 10 historic Grade II listed structures on the estate.
Stanford Hall values the arts and culture at the heart of its vision. The estate welcomes several different educational programmes and cultural events on an annual basis, bringing together diverse audiences, artists and communities. LIFEbeat summer camps, which are for young people aged 14-18 and focus on using the arts to enhance mental health and wellbeing and to foster inclusive communities, are held each year.
During this visit you will see the estate team preparing for the Bushcraft Show, a three-day outdoor adventure festival.
In 2019, the estate set up a seven-acre community farm, which you can visit on the day. This is largely a volunteer-based project that supplies vegetables to local families and schools and runs an educational programme on traditional no-dig sustainable growing methods.
This visit, which will be jointly hosted by CLA Midlands, is by kind permission of the Fothergill family.
