CLA North: North East AGM at Belsay Estate

Belsay Hall is nestled within the sprawling expanse of Belsay Estate lies a captivating ensemble of history and natural beauty. Its centerpiece, the grand hall, stands as a testament to bygone eras, surrounded by meticulously tended gardens, expansive parkland, and the weathered ramparts of an ancient castle.

Under the watchful care of English Heritage and the stewardship of a charitable trust, Belsay Hall is of timeless elegance and noble heritage.

It is within this realm that Laura de Wesselow who is the last of the Middleton family, a devotee of equine pursuits, embarked on a remarkable endeavor five years past – the inception of the illustrious Belsay Horse Trials.

The estate's legacy resonates deeply with the equestrian world, its roots entwined with the illustrious lineage of the Middleton family. Across eight centuries, they have etched their mark upon, their passion for horses flourishing through the breeding and training of racehorses during the vibrant epochs of the 18th and 19th centuries.
