CLA South West: Rural Crime Prevention Farm Walk

Event Postponed

Rural crime is a major concern for farmers and landowners and criminal activity is a blight on the countryside. It is often linked to organised crime groups who are emboldened by the isolation of rural communities, leaving families, farmers and business owners feeling vulnerable and powerless; half of rural business owners say that rural crime has a moderate or great impact on their lives.

During this event, South West Rural Surveyor Mark Burton and members of the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team will cover the different types of rural crime and the steps that can be taken to protect your property, land and livestock. During the farm walk, our knowledgeable experts will identify what security measures are working well and the possible risks and improvements that can be made to prevent rural crime.

We will also be joined by CLA Insurance who work with businesses of all sizes to help them identify and mitigate risk.

Tea and coffee will be provided on arrival. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
