CLA Midlands: Visit to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust and Shropshire AGM

The Midlands team are delighted to invite you to a bespoke visit to the Ironbridge Groge Museum Trust and Shropshire AGM.

Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust is an education and conservation charity made up of 10 award-winning museums. They are a large estate of internationally important heritage buildings that require regular maintenance and repair.

The morning will begin with the AGM and an update on the latest policy work and matters affecting members by CLA Vice President, Joe Evans. Nick Booth, Collections and Learning Director will provide an introduction to Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust while Rory Hunter, Estates, Facilities & Projects Director will lead a walking tour of the Old Furnace, before you return for a two-course lunch. The tour and talk will be reverse in the afternoon.

The day will include a talk featuring the tenants, buildings and future diversification opportunities such as: environmental and renewable potential, selling Biodiversity Net Gain units, events, retail, catering and plans to license the collection.

Please ensure to wear suitable footwear and clothing as the tours will take place outdoors.
