CLA Breakfast at Groundswell, 27th June 2024

Please note there will be no meat free hot baps. There will be yoghurt and granola pots which are suitable for vegetarians and gluten free.

The Groundswell Festival provides a forum for farmers, growers, or anyone interested in food production and the environment to learn about the theory and practical applications of regenerative farming systems.

This year, the CLA will be hosting an informal breakfast for CLA members on our CLA stand DF E30, on the second day, Thursday 27th June. From 7.45am – 8.45am you can enjoy breakfast rolls and fresh tea and coffee. We will be joined by CLA President Victoria Vyvyan who will give a brief update and opportunity to ask any questions about policy and we will be joined by guest speaker, Dan Smith, Farm Manager at Jamie's Farm Monmouth (Groundswell Charity of the Year), 2023 Nuffield Scholar studying "Generation Regeneration".

It is the perfect opportunity to network with others in the farming industry and enjoy a relaxed, informative start to your busy day.

We will be at the show on both days. We will be at stand DF E 30.

Please note, you will need to purchase your ticket separately for Groundswell.

CLA Land Use Policy team will be available on our stand throughout the day should you have any questions. We also have three CLA panel sessions, details below.

Dan's bio

Built on strong foundations from a farming upbringing in the UK, I have a soil-up understanding of the complexities facing rural and environmental industries alongside global social challenges. I have developed a highly effective combination of skills that can cultivate change for people, land, and the environment. I am a Farm Manager running a commercial, net zero livestock farm for the benefit of underprivileged young people as well as the environment.
