A family run estate set on the banks of the River Usk in the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, Mid Wales.
Penpont is an invitation to slow down and settle into a simpler way of life. Gather by fireside and feast together, glimpse kingfisher and otter, sink into cold water & wander beneath ancient trees and dark skies.
Penpont has belonged to the same family since 1665. In 1992, current custodians, Gavin and Vina Hogg, with their two sons Forrest and Joshua moved to Penpont. Time had stood still at Penpont for much of the last century, contributing to an unspoilt charm and tranquility which characterize the house and grounds.
A visit to this beautiful house and grounds allows us to experience the tranquility of the place which has adapted so well to incorporate it's current business opportunities.
The extensive work and diversification the family have undertaken with holiday accommodation, glamping, workshop/education facilities, restoration of buildings, locally supplied shop, wedding/event venue, sustainability projects and awards all show how much then family love & care about their home and it's survival for future generations.
