The Midlands team are delighted to invite you to a bespoke farm walk on the Sundorne Castle Estate.
Sundorne Castle Estate, consists of approximately 3,000 acres lying to the East of Shrewsbury incorporating land and forestry around Haughmond Hill and bordered by the rivers Severn and Tern. The Estate is multi-faceted, operating diverse enterprises from in-hand farming, together with agricultural tenants and licensees, a residential portfolio, commercial office space and industrial units.
The farm walk will provide the opportunity to see and discuss the Estate's long term, sustainable approach to farming through adopting a diverse range of new and niche cropping, and the planned introduction of livestock into the arable rotation. The Estate was an early adopter of Countryside Stewardship and now begins the transition into the Sustainable Farming Incentive with recent changes announced by DEFRA.
Please note you will need to drive yourself from the farm walk location to Haughmond Lodge for the BBQ and drinks reception.
