Join us for summer evening drinks at Stenbury Manor
Ian and Claire Wellby took over Stenbury Manor in 2016 and have embarked on a sympathetic restoration project of both the house, outbuildings and gardens.
Stenbury Manor lies in the heart of the Isle of Wight National Landscape and is surrounded by open countryside and far reaching views.
Stenbury Manor is a Grade II Listed Jacobean Manor house and is one of the original island Domesday manors faced with island stone, with a west wing added by Sir Robert Worsley. The original Manor was pulled down and rebuilt in the 16th Century.
The Manor enjoys beautiful gardens with the remains of a small moat leading to the Manor and there are further earthworks visible including fishponds, lynchets and the remnants of on old mill.
Recently, Ian & Claire Wellby have undertaken extensive restoration and planting of new hedges under the FIPL scheme and undertaken improvements to the garden walls.
