The Culden Faw Estate was formed in 2007 following the purchase of the Hambleden Estate to add to the estates at Culham Court and Fawley. Comprising of around 4000 acres of mature beech woods, rolling pastures, parkland and unspoilt chalk valleys, the estate centres around the Grade II listed Culham Court, built in 1771.
Since the purchase, the house, gardens and landscape have been restored extensively using the expertise of the likes of Tom Stuart Smith, Colvin and Moggridge, and, in the case of the chapel built in 2015, Craig Hamilton, probably the leading Classical Architect of our time.
The estate is run on a commercial basis with a number of diverse activities and events taking place on it including glamping, polo and obstacle course racing along with the more tradition activities one would associate with rural enterprise.
The farm is operated under a Contract arrangement by local farm Nick Philp who has embraced the estate’s entry into a Mid-Tier Stewardship team as well as driving forward with our plans to bring cattle into the system to benefit the arable operation.
