Angus Methuen-Campbell will be pleased to welcome CLA members and give an introduction to the gardens at Corsham Court and answer any questions.
The group will then be able to walk the gardens at their leisure, taking in features like the Oriental Plane tree, the largest spreading tree in Britain planted by 'Capability Brown' in the 1760s, to the Lily Pond garden with its interesting 15th century Bradford Porch. Corsham Court and Park have been in the Methuen family since 1745. The gardens extend over 17 acres, from open and exposed sunny areas to secluded walkways they are full of character and diversity.
Please dress according to the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Refreshments will not be provided however, Corsham town offers a lovely selection of coffee shops & tea rooms.
