Ben Fitzherbert will be the guest speaker at the first CLA London Branch evening of 2026, giving a glimpse into life at Swynnerton Estates - and the impact HS2 has had.

A chartered surveyor, in 2022 Ben moved with his family back to Swynnerton to take over the running of the estate and its wider interests.

The Swynnerton Estate is 8,500 acres across Staffordshire, Shropshire and Yorkshire and is centred on agricultural, residential, development and commercial assets.

Swynnerton comprised the single largest private land-take for the route of HS2 Phase 2a, with approximately 7km of the line running through the core estate. With over a decade of dealing with HS2, Ben will share their experiences and examples of mismanagement and waste.
