Kelly Hewson-Fisher, Head of Rural Research ,Savills 
Kelly joined Savills in 2023 and is Director and Head of Rural Research. Kelly leads a team of 10 researchers and policy and data analysts who cover the UK’s rural sector providing insight and thought leadership. Kelly is a conscientious, professional leader with over 20 years environment, food and water sector experience and a practical farming background. 

Bee Barton-Broomhead, East Regional Adviser, CLA 
Bee grew up on her family farm on the Isle of Mull and has a lifelong connection to farming and the pig industry. She trained in veterinary epidemiology before qualifying as a lawyer in veterinary and agricultural law. Her career includes roles as a Red Tractor Lead Auditor, a Land Agent with ADAS Rural, and a Regional Infrastructure Lead at the NFU. She also helps run the family farm and competes in county-level horse showing.

Lynette Swinburne, Planner, Savills, East Midlands 
Lynette is a planning specialist at Savills, and has been advising rural clients across the Midlands and East of England since 2017. She has expertise across the rural, residential, tourism, and employment sectors, with experience in both planning policy and development management, including applications, pre application advice and appeals.

Bailey Elliott, Farm Manager at A E Lenton’s, Friskney, Lincolnshire
From a young age, Bailey dreamed of becoming a farmer. With no farming background, her ambition was sparked by a single tractor ride and fuelled by determination and a love of the outdoors. She studied Countryside and Environmental Management, gaining a solid grounding in sustainable land use. At 22, she boldly applied for a council farm and, alongside running it, worked as an agronomist, building technical and commercial expertise. Her drive took her to Branston as Farm Manager, where she grew her skills and confidence, and in 2024 she became the first recipient of the Michael Peacock Rising Talent Award. After five years at Branston, Bailey joined A E Lenton’s as Farm Manager, achieving her lifelong goal.

Jessica Spencer Cooper, Sales and Marketing Manager at Spring Lane Farm Shop, Mapperley, Nottinghamshire

Jessica Spencer Cooper is the fourth generation to run her family’s 280 acre Spring Lane Farm in Mapperley, Nottinghamshire. The mixed farm, established in 1939, includes livestock, arable crops and potatoes, alongside a diversified retail and hospitality business with a farm shop and café employing 50 people and turning over more than £2 million a year. The 600m² site features a butchery, bakery, deli, fresh produce and a licensed café, and also hosts seasonal events and educational activities. Jessica who holds an honorary degree in Agri Food Marketing with Business Studies, returned to the business in 2020 and is County Chairman of Nottinghamshire Young Farmers Clubs and a former South Notts NFU Branch Chairman.

Jane Lane, Rural Business Owner and Farmer, Norfolk
Jane Lane is a diversified rural business owner based in Norfolk, where she has transformed former farm buildings into a holiday cottage enterprise accommodating up to 30 guests. She also manages an upland grazing farm in Cumbria, finishing beef and sheep for her family’s farm shop at Tebay Services, and oversees several rental properties across the region. Jane is the Founder, Director and Chair of the Orton Fells Farm Cluster, promotes collaborative, environmentally focused land management, serves on the CLA Regional Committee for Cumbria and is a Trustee of the CLA Charitable Trust - reflecting her strong commitment to sustainable farming and rural communities.
