CLA Midlands: Derbyshire drinks reception at Haddon Hall

Join us on Thursday 17th September for a summer drinks reception at Haddon Hall.

Haddon Hall is the private residence of Lord and Lady Edward Manners, set in the Peak District in the valley of the Derbyshire River Wye.

Discover the magic of Haddon Hall, one of England’s oldest surviving country houses, home to the same family for more than nine centuries. Remarkably, the Hall stood unoccupied for almost 200 years, preserving it from Georgian and Victorian alterations and allowing visitors today to experience a rare step back in time.

Explore the breathtaking Elizabethan Walled Gardens, beautifully terraced and cascading toward the River Wye, with sweeping views across ancient parkland and the Peak District. Recently reimagined by Chelsea Gold Medal–winning designer Arne Maynard, the gardens are an essential part of the Haddon experience.

Inside the Hall, visitors will find centuries of history woven into its atmospheric rooms, including an extraordinary tapestry collection and an exceptional array of early English furniture—considered among the finest in the country. Rich in heritage, stories, and architectural beauty, Haddon stands as one of Britain’s most important and captivating historic destinations.

Guests will enjoy drinks and canapés in the delightful setting of Haddon Hall both inside the Hall and outside in the Elizabethan Walled Gardens.
