The CLA is working with the Ecosystems Knowledge Network (EKN) to promote a new series of practical training courses designed to help land managers understand the opportunities presented by nature markets.
The one-day, in-person courses are for rural landowners and managers considering nature market opportunities, including farm managers, estate managers, and other rural land management professionals. The training will provide an interactive introduction to the sector, alongside independent expert guidance on topics including woodland carbon, Biodiversity Net Gain and nutrient mitigation.
Training will be led by Kate Russell, Chief Operating Officer at Tellus Natural Capital, who has extensive experience in advising rural professionals on income associated with the delivery of environmental outcomes.
The first courses will take place in:
Hampshire – Monday 19th of October 2026
Shropshire – Wednesday 21st of October 2026
Both courses will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm and will focus on opportunities applicable to the region in which the course is taking place.
CLA members can receive £65 off the course fee by using the discount code CLAmember when booking.
Further information about the training, including booking details, is available from the Ecosystems Knowledge Network here.
