Navigating the Agricultural Transition
What does the new Labour government mean for farming businesses in our region?
The new government has been elected midway through the agricultural transition in England. 2024 Basic Payment Scheme receipts will be at least 50% of the pre-cut 2020 rates, and new Environmental Land Management (ELM) schemes are up and running.
They have said they will continue to roll out and improve the Environmental Land Management schemes, including the Sustainable Farming Incentive expanded offer.
During these two-hour sessions you will hear directly from:
- Future Farming Resilience Fund Representatives - NIAB
- The Forestry Commission
- Representatives from Defra including Catchment Sensitive Farming and the Rural Payments Agency
- CLA experts who will discuss what the latest policy developments could mean for you and provide practical advice
There will also be opportunities for CLA members to raise specific questions with all the speakers.
